Großarl is a much-loved destination in the Salzburgerland. It is an old-fashioned and cosy Austrian winter sports town that is part of the Skialliance Amadé: 270 lifts, 760 km of slopes and all of it accessible with one single ski pass!

Even though your pass affords access to 760 km of slopes, you’ll probably find plenty to do in the direct vicinity: Großarl’s skiing area itself has huge variety, with 24 lifts and 80 km of slopes. The neighbouring Gasteinertal (which contains the well-known town of Bad Hofgastein and Badgastein) adds another 120 km. You can also take the free shuttle bus from Großarl to St. Johann/Alpendorf, and from there ski on to, for example, Wagrain or Flachau.

“Beloved winter sports town in natural environment”

The atmospheric town is situated in a beautiful environment. There are hiking paths and cross-country trails to, for example, a romantic outskirt of the famous Hohe-Tauern natural park among other destinations. Kids aren’t excluded either: there is a daycare and a fun skiing school for kids; in other words, everything parents and their children could ever need.

Haus Alpina
Haus Alpina is a spacious, highly comfortable chalet. Of course, the location is great too: on the edge of the cosy town centre and at 5 minutes walking distance from the lifts (including ski depot) and the skiing school.

The chalet has 11 well-maintained, spacious bedrooms, of which 9 have their own private shower/toilet and 2 rooms share a bathroom.
Some rooms have their own balcony and several rooms contain a third bed. Add to that the cosy Stube with fireplace and we have a superb chalet on our hands. The basement has a fun kids’ room with table tennis table.
