Are you ready for a new adventure? And do you want to experience an unforgettable winter season? That’s great! You now have the chance to work in Austria this coming winter. You can run a chalet with your partner, friend, girlfriend, or on your own! Want to know what to expect from this job abroad? We’ll explain it below!
Basically, it comes down to making sure that the guests are satisfied. From welcoming guests to handling payments, your enthusiasm ensures everything goes smoothly and creates a pleasant atmosphere! It’s a varied job with a lot of responsibility. You will have one day off per week when you work with us in Austria. However, it is important that you prepare breakfast for the guests on this day; after that, you are truly free!
Running a chalet naturally involves household tasks. When you work in Austria, you start the day by preparing the extensive breakfast buffet, then you make your rounds through the rooms to keep them clean, and in the afternoon after skiing you set out an afternoon snack for the guests, which consists of coffee/tea with a variety of sweet and savory treats. You also make sure, for example, that the path to the chalet is free of snow and, of course, most importantly, you ensure that the guests are satisfied!
Are you spontaneous and hospitable? That’s great! You are the face of our company, the person who can ensure that guests have an amazing holiday! Don’t be surprised if you end the season with several new friendships and contacts from your snowy adventure. In addition to the usual moments such as breakfast, afternoon snack, and dinner, you will organize one or two activities per week for the guests. Think, for example, of a tobogganing evening, ski tour, or fondue night. This depends on the wishes of the guests and your own creativity!
In addition, you will maintain contacts! For example, with the ski school, ski rental, and laundry service. You will do the shopping for breakfast and dinner, make sure all household items are available, and help come up with solutions for any common problems. It may also happen that you babysit for an evening. There are so many possibilities in consultation! A fantastic adventure where no two days are the same.
With us, it’s possible to run a chalet together with your partner, best friend, or as an individual! We have chalets that are run by 1, 2, or 3 people!
Is cooking your passion? We are also looking for staff for our cooking chalets. Here you have the same responsibilities, but you also take care of dinner! That means you prepare a three-course dinner for our guests in the evening. Does this sound like something for you? Then mention it in your motivation letter!
Of course, you won’t be thrown in at the deep end! From our office, we support and motivate you whenever needed! Beforehand, you will receive a special handbook developed by us, covering the most common situations. You will also receive a report from the chalet staff who worked at your destination last year. In addition, the week before the season starts, there will be a training weekend in the snow! During this weekend, not only our office staff but also your own colleagues (who know all the ins and outs thanks to their years of experience) will explain everything about running the chalet. Even during the winter months, we are always available, day and night!
Can you picture yourself preparing breakfast in the kitchen and then hitting the slopes? Apply now! With us, there are no complicated forms to fill out before your application. Simply send us your motivation letter and CV by email (info@chatel.nl) and we will contact you as soon as possible!
Are you interested in working with us next winter season? From May/June we will start looking for new staff for the upcoming season. So keep a close eye on our page and socials!
