Wintersport Oostenrijk
Terms and Conditions
Please note: for reservations made through external channels such as Booking.com or through a local tourist office, the booking conditions that you accepted at the time of booking apply.

Article 1. Offer and Acceptance

The travel agreement is established by the traveler’s acceptance of the offer. Acceptance may take place either by phone, by completing the online booking form on the website, or via email correspondence.
If at the time of registration the composition of the group of fellow travelers is not yet (fully) known, this is not a problem in itself, provided that:

  • the payment for the trip must be made as if the group were already complete, and
  • the missing names and personal details are provided at the earliest possible opportunity

Article 2. Confirmation and Payment

  1. The travel agreement is confirmed in writing by Châtel Reizen.
  2. Immediately after receiving the confirmation, a deposit of 30% must be transferred. The remaining amount of the travel sum must be in our possession no later than 6 weeks before departure.
  3. For bookings made less than 6 weeks before departure, the full travel sum must be paid at once.

Article 3. Cancellation/Trip Modification

  1. If a booking is canceled for reasons not covered by the cancellation insurance, the following amounts will be charged per person:
    • for cancellation up to 16 weeks before the departure date: the deposit;
    • for cancellation between 16 and 3 weeks before the departure date: 75% of the travel sum;
    • for cancellation within 3 weeks before the day of departure (including the day of arrival): the total travel sum;
    • in case of “No show”: 100% of the travel sum.
  2. Trip modifications:
    • changes to the travel date, destination, group composition, etc., requested by the participant can, depending on the situation, be made in consultation with Châtel Reizen. Any change must always be confirmed in writing.
    • if changes are necessary – at our discretion – in departure dates, departure times, or accommodation, we commit to timely notification.

Article 4. Liability of the Tour Operator

  1. If a chalet cannot be reached due to the following circumstances, no refund will be given:
    • snowfall, avalanche risk, road closures by local authorities making the chalet inaccessible.
    • due to circumstances beyond the control of the tour operator, including war, strikes, riots, and other cases of force majeure.
  2. If the trip is not carried out according to expectations, the tour operator is liable for the resulting damages. ‘Expectations’ here refer to the expectations that the participant may reasonably have according to European standards.
  3. The tour operator is not liable for the damages mentioned above, insofar as these are not due to his fault, nor by virtue of Dutch law or prevailing Dutch standards, are his responsibility.
  4. If the trip cannot take place or must be terminated due to force majeure, the tour operator cannot be held liable.
  5. Liability for damages covered by travel insurance is excluded.
  6. Liability for lost/stolen goods, securities, and money is excluded.
  7. Châtel Reizen cannot be held responsible for damage to parked vehicles or objects left in vehicles.
  8. Complaints must be submitted in writing no later than 4 weeks after returning to the Netherlands, including all relevant information.

Article 5. Obligations and Liability of the Participant

  1. Participants are required to take out travel insurance.
  2. Participants are liable for any damage they cause, whether intentional or not, to the accommodation and/or inventory.

Article 6. General Reservation

Obvious errors or mistakes in this or any other notification do not bind the tour operator.

Article 7. Tour Guiding

Participation in ski guiding and any other activities is at the participant’s own risk.

Article 8. Travel Documents

The travel documents will be sent (provided the travel sum has been paid in full) no later than one week before departure.

Article 9. Pets

In principle, pets are not allowed. Exceptions may be made for complete chalet reservations. For more information, please contact Châtel Reizen.

Article 10. Exclusion

If it appears that a participant is guilty of misconduct to such an extent that the proper execution of the trip is hindered, the participant may be excluded from (continuing) the trip. All resulting costs are at the participant’s expense, insofar as the consequences of nuisance or inconvenience can be attributed to him.
