Welcome to Sölden, one of Austria’s most legendary winter sports destinations. Located in the impressive Ötztal valley, Sölden combines guaranteed snow, modern lifts, and a vibrant mountain atmosphere into the perfect mix for every winter sports enthusiast. Here, it’s all about skiing, fun, and enjoyment – both on and off the slopes.
The Sölden – Ötztal ski area offers more than 144 kilometers of slopes, two glaciers (Rettenbach and Tiefenbach glaciers), and three peaks above 3,000 meters: the famous BIG3. Thanks to this altitude, Sölden is 100% snow-sure from October to May.
The slopes are wide, perfectly groomed, and suitable for all levels – from beginners to experienced freeriders. Modern lifts take you up in no time, where spectacular views and long descents await.
After an action-packed day on the slopes, Sölden truly comes alive. The village is known for its legendary après-ski – from cozy mountain huts to lively bars and clubs.
Famous hotspots like Fire & Ice, Schirmbar, Katapult, and Philipp attract winter sports enthusiasts from all over Europe. Whether you enjoy a drink on the terrace or dancing late into the night, you’ll find it all in Sölden.
"More winter fun off the slopes"
Even beyond skiing, Sölden offers plenty of winter activities. Enjoy cross-country skiing through the valley, take a winter hike through the snowy landscape, or explore the mountains with snowshoes. Adventurers can even visit the spectacular 007 ELEMENTS James Bond Experience, high up on the Gaislachkogl.
Sölden perfectly combines sportsmanship and conviviality. It is a place where top-level sports, relaxation, and partying go hand in hand. Thanks to its excellent infrastructure, numerous wellness options, and varied dining establishments, Sölden is the destination for those who love a complete winter sports experience. The village of Sölden is a true winter sports center with all the associated facilities for après-ski, nightlife, shopping, and sports. You will find, among other things, a natural ice rink and a super extensive 'Freizeitzentrum' with, among other amenities, a swimming pool, tennis court, sauna and fitness facilities, etc.
About 10 km from Sölden, in the village of Längenfeld, lies the Aqua Dome. Here, you become one with nature thanks to the unique design of the building. The adventure world is shaped like a crystal, is largely made of glass, and features two indoor pools at 25-26°Celsius and several outdoor pools at 34°-36°Celsius. There is also a sauna and fitness area.
Completely separated, you will find the family and children's area called the 'Alpen Arche Noah'. This play and adventure world has various attractions such as waterfalls, a fountain, and several slides.
